There is no doubt that LinkedIn is a useful platform for business, being kept informed on new concepts, and world developments, that might not be available on any MSM platforms....but
...and this is big BUT...
LinkedIn, really does allow insight into just how insane, and hysterical, some folks behave.
Self-confessed, diversity-championing, left-leaning, liberals, who proudly display their pronouns in their bios, like a badge of virtue-signalling honor, seem to have become the very thing they profess to hate so much - they are the first to hurl personal insults at others who do not align themselves with their own opinions.
They are the first to scream about violations of human rights, and the suppression of freedom of speech, whilst shouting down, cancelling, ridiculing, and reporting, everybody else's right to free speech and points of view, that they don't like, don't agree with, or believe should not be permitted to be publicly viewed.
I'm not sure what you would call that? Gaslighting? Hypocrisy? Tyranny? Being a dick?
So, here are some other observations, from LinkedIn, that have jumped out at me over the past couple of weeks:
- Debating with someone, and they throw in a Hitler reference, you know their argument is dead in the water.
- Being told to "go live there and see what it's like then" whilst those same people proudly wave pro-Palestinian flags and claim that they don't have to be in Gaza, to understand what it's like.
- Non-Americans who believe they understand American politics, the Constitution, how the three branches of the US government works, and what Americans want, better than Americans.
- Smart-ass comments on posts, written out of a deeply ingrained regret, and self-loathing, that their own lives are somewhat dull - classic Walter Mitty syndrome.
- Over-familiarity - being "connected" with another person, on LinkedIn, doesn't make you friends with that person.
- Publishing a post and turning comments "Off" - Just...why?
- People who never post anything, but pop up, like whack-a-moles, on other people's posts, shout them down, and then scuttle back into their holes, congratulating themselves for their courageous activism.
- People who talk tougher, than they actually are in real life. If you wouldn't say it to the persons face, then maybe don't say it at all. The internet has bestowed people with a certain amount of false courage - much like tequila.
- Grown-ass men and women, using emojis to communicate.
- Connection requests followed by a sales pitch.
- Claiming to be the best at what you do, and that no-one else can do it better - ever, in the world, ever...like EVER.
- Being humbled, proud and honored about an achievement.
- Sharing reviews from alleged customers, that were clearly written by themselves.
- People who used to know you, from 25 years ago, who think they still "know" you.
- Envy, communicated through attempted ridicule.
- Not researching who you're about to slag off, before slagging them off, makes you look like a wankspangle.
- Academic letters after a persons name, are not always indicative of how smart that person is.
- The use of a laughing emoji, on a post you don't agree with, in attempt to communicate sarcasm, reduces an adult to an infant, and confirms that they really don't know how to communicate a logical response. i.e. they're probably stupid.
- People outside of the USA, who don't like guns, have never held a gun, have never been around guns, telling people in America, that they shouldn't have guns.
- NEWS FLASH - Witnessing Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) gives me pleasure.
- The more scared of something a person is, the more they hate it.
- Anyone who concludes a debate with "you don't understand" , followed by a laughing emoji, smiley face or a LoL...has exhausted their capacity to debate.
- LinkedIn is full of proud supporters of terrorist organisations.
- People like to ridicule terms like "Freedom" and "Patriotism", up until the point they no longer have them.
- The enthusiasm from people to "arm" other countries citizens, in pursuit of self-defense, whilst the very same people call for the American citizens to be "disarmed".
- The importance of border security seems to be dependent upon who's country's borders are being discussed.
- Know-it-alls and self-proclaimed, subject matter experts, usually haven't done anything of note.
- Gun control zealots who want to disarm US citizens, who have legally held guns, thinking it will have a positive affect on gun crime, whilst having no solution how to disarm criminals with illegally held guns, who are responsible for the very gun crime they want to end.
- People who feel the need to constantly remind you of their integrity, generally don't have any.
- Most people who hate and slag off America, secretly wish they lived there.
- Stupidness, much like the giggles, is infectious.
- When the world goes to shit, the last thing anyone will need is an internet influencer - learn basic skills.
- Soft-skills is a made up term - they are life experiences that have shaped you, and allow you to deal with, and help others, in similar situations. Without those "experiences" you are inert.
- Left-leaning liberals justify their use of personal insults, threats of violence, hate, cancellation of opposing views, censorship and bans, because they believe that, by doing so, they are protecting you from bad things - much like big pharma and big government.
- Anti-semitism is now tolerated, celebrated and encouraged. Anti-semites are strategically and deliberately demonizing Jews, by calling them Nazis, which justifies violence against them, and absolves the anti-semite of any wrong-doing - in their own twisted heads.
- Illegal immigration is a crime - end of chat.

1 年Wow I love this, and sadly it is so true. These are the main reasons why I spend less and less time on LinkedIn.....................oh and of course Recruitment Agents. Well posted Neilly

1 年This may be a long comment Neilly Davis QCVS, but you need to hear it. 1) I like to use emojis...dont judge me! ?? 2) I absolutely love the Walter Mitty reference. 3) There is nothing wrong with supporting diversity - the US is pretty diverse. The problem comes with switching that term to "equity", which requires placing skin color ahead of qualifications. This is racist. Period. 4) I agree with everything you say in this article (except for not using emojis!) ???? 5) I don't know what a "wankspangle" is, but 100% I will begin using this term in my own context! I will sign off with ??????????????
