Observations: On being able to appreciate and be appreciated...
As banks become more and more automated, there are less face to face transactions where cordial exchanges of engagement takes place. So how does one thank a customer OR for giving thanks to them for being chosen as the keeper of their hard-earned livelihood?
I went to my bank (Wells Fargo) and in front of the building are lines of ATM machines, subliminally beckoning one to use the machine instead of going to a bank teller... and since I was only getting a small cash amount for my lunch meal, I obliged to use it and did the transaction in a couple of minutes. Before leaving, I chose to have a print out of my transaction.
In my car, I was surprised to see a Thank You note from the bank... it means a lot --- despite automation, financial institutions take time to program their machines to ensure these very important words reaches the customer in whatever means, ways, time, day, etc.
Does you bank do this? If so, how do you feel? If not, what will you do?
