Oaths of Service Are Heretical
?"Again, you have heard that it was said long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’?But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."
---Matthew 5:33-37
Each member of the United States Armed Forces must swear a loyalty oath before entering service. For enlisted personnel, the oath reads:
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
The United States Armed Forces oath for officers reads much the same.
The first oath approved in the United States happened thanks to an act of Congress in September 1789 and was intended for all commissioned officers, non-commissioned officers, and enlisted personnel within the United States military. The requirement was passed with no debate on the merits.
Every military organization throughout the world swears similar oaths. Most of the oaths outside communist and socialist nations are sworn before the eyes of God. Seven private armies tied to global financial institutions also require loyalty oaths. Constellis (also known as Blackwater and Academi), the Wagner Group, and Aegis Defense Services are amongst these private armies.
The oaths sworn by officers and enlisted personnel within these military institutions are heretical and trace their roots to Egyptian and Roman Empires. As Eastern Orthodox Church librarians can attest, soldiers within David's army (known as Heroes) and other military Christened military institutions that existed before the time of Herodotus did not swear oaths of loyalty and instead pledged their allegiance to sovereign rulers.
Within the United States, each Federal government employee and each elected official are required to swear oaths of service. This practice is unique throughout world governments with a handful of other exceptions (China, North Korea, and Zimbabwe being among them).
Through the years, few objections have to these heretical practices have been voiced by religious scholars except from Puritans. Most religions, in fact, have called upon their parishioners to enlist in the military during major conflicts over the past 4 centuries.
