Oasis Sapphire, the 1st confidential EVM, empowers devs to build privacy-centric dApps both natively on Oasis and on other EVM chains. Sapphire's privacy can be adjusted to meet any dev or user's needs — 100% private, 100% public, or anywhere in between (AKA Smart Privacy).
Our confidential smart contracts enable selective disclosure and elective transparency. This approach allows for compliance with regulations and adaptive privacy management, catering to dynamic group settings and conditional access needs.
The Oasis Privacy Layer (OPL) makes it possible for any dApp on any EVM chain to integrate Sapphire's privacy features seamlessly.
We utilize TEEs (trusted execution environments) to secure data during processing, ensuring that only encrypted inputs and outputs are handled, thus maintaining confidentiality. This technology is foundational in supporting other privacy-preserving methods like ZKP and MPC.

ROFL (runtime off-chain logic) is the latest technology developed by the core engineers at Oasis. ROFL allows for off-chain components to seamlessly communicate with the on-chain realm, bringing full composability across different blockchains & off-chain computation stacks. ROFL enables decentralized agents powered by AI to have private “thoughts” (state) and interact with the world (including other agents) via transactions, queries and oracles, making it much easier to run complex workloads (e.g. AI inference) in a decentralized fashion.
