O, Taste and See that the Lord is Good

I am writing this post to magnify the Lord and Give all glory and Praises, for who He is, and His goodness, mercy and mercy in difficult situations and troubles. ?I surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus on board M/V. Logos, the renowned Gospel Ship of Operation Mobilization in the 70s! I had a glorious encounter with the Lord in the Ship; as I sought Him desperately. It was a ship of foreigners mostly, all well educated, qualified and skilful in various fields. They Spoke in immaculate English and lived in high standard.

I was from a tiny village and only had my pre-university in Tamil medium. I mostly served in the Northern India, Andhra, Orissa, West Bengal, Bihar, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamilnadu, to name some state. I had to preach and converse in Hindi. However, I preached in English and someone will Translate my message in Hindi. Per day I preached 7 to 10 sermons. And the Holy Spirit of the Lord will always give a new sermon. Remember, it was to non-christian audience, where some times resistance was shown.

We were volunteer Christian workers and received no salaries. We lived with the money we earned by selling Christian Books. All our needs were met and there is a limited provision of money for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Life was hard and lot of patient, perseverance and faith was needed.

It was in this situation, that the Call came to me and I yielded with obedience and vowed to the LORD, that I will love And serve Him By faith till I die. I have literally kept this promise to the Lord, in spite of great trails and temptations. My marriage was very simple and for my honeymoon, my mother gave me 25/-Rupees. I had to go to Kerala to my Wife’s house and return to my mother church in 3 days time. My wedding dress totally cost 250 Rupees. ?????? ?? ?????? ?????? ?????????????? ?? ?????????? ???? ???????????? ???????? ???? ????????'?? ??????????????.We both started our newly married life with nothing in our possession.

This experience led us deeper into the person of Christ. Together with Molly my wife we will pray and go out to villages by our bi-cycle provided by Gospel For Asia. Our First child was a son and we named Him Jean Calvin Lazarus and when he was 6 months old he died of lack of money to treat him. We found our consolation in the Lord and continued in ministry. Then we had 3 daughters and finally a son. With great difficulties we managed to educate them to the highest level possible. We had to starve for many days without food with 4 small kids. It was unimaginable. It was always Molly who gave me strength and encouragement. Normally, at such a situation modern life partners will desert the husband and go to their home.

The Lord opened doors of support. Dr. Thomas Samuel sent 250 Rupees, every month for some years. Dr. K.P.Yeohannan of Gospel for Asia supported with 750/- Rupees. ?? ?????????? ???????? ?????? ?????? ???? ?????????? ???? ?????? ???????????? ?????????????? ?????? ???? ???????????? ?????? ????????????????. Praise the Lord! The Lord started to open the heart of friends and we started our Society and used the money for the welfare of poor and needy, in particular, the independent pastors and evangelists. Every year for the last 25 years, we have reached 3000 t0 3500 children in non-christian villages. We distribute Free Bibles to new Christians in rural churches. We trained pastors and evangelists. We even ordained a Pastor from Andaman Islands. We gave 2500/- Monthly to 25 national Christian Workers for some years.

Ten Years Ago, We lost our Only Son a graduate of B.Tech , M.B.A, in a road accident. He was our only bread winner. This has come as a rude shock and like a head crushing stone. We experience the pain of it Every days....If only is alive now....

All for the Glory of the Lord!

I am an accountability Oriented man. Our accounts are audited in Salem 125 kilometers away from Bethel Campus every year without fail. Our auditor, never ever once “Frowned” for mistakes or red handed for mismanaging funds or stealing for personal benefits. Before the Lord and before men we are honest and faithful.

???????? ???????????? ??????????: Last year I had a major Vascular Surgery and my thumb on left was removed and it was a deep excavation of flesh. It costs me 16,000,00/- Lakhs Rupees. ?We have seen our old friends and family members donating all this money. And this year A month ago I had to undergo Angioplasty to unblock 2 blocks in my heart.? My wife Molly also has some heart problem and both of us are diabetics. ?????????? ?????????? ?????? ?? ?????? ?????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ???????????? ?????? ?????? ???????????????? ???????? ?? ???????? ???????? ???????? ?????? ?????????????? ???? ????????????. But Praise the Lord I am alive after 3 years to write this testimony. I take Native Treatment.?

Medical Expenses for both of us runs into many thousands. Sometimes we had to go without medicine for a week or so. But again someone will be urged by the Holy Spirit to send us a help. Kindly Remember us in your Prayers and sow your seed in helping God’s ministry.
