Life has taught me a few things.

I stooped to Mother Nature.

I lowered my head in reverence at the towering heights and grace of the Himalayan Ranges.

I stooped in front of the vast expanse of the ocean, far beyond the horizon.

I bowed down in admiration to the astounding discipline of the celestial bodies like the Sun, the Moon, and the millions of stars in the sky.

The scorching sunrays during the summer heat, or the freezing cold waves in the high mountain ranges during the winter nights, overwhelmed me.

The pre-monsoon Nor’westers, the frequent thunderstorms, the deadly lightning strikes, the massive devastations: all these are a part of Nature’s fury.

I became awestruck and speechless.

From all the above fearsome powers of Mother Nature,

I learnt one mantra, the all-important lesson:

To bow down and surrender myself to the Mighty Nature.

Today, I am kneeling down in reverence -

To my Mother Land, India.

I bow my head with love and respect to my Mother Tongue, the Bengali Language.

I lay prostrate with folded hands in front of all my Teachers and Gurus who taught me many a lesson.

I bow down to my native village where I grew up.

I bow down to all my ancestors from both my paternal and maternal sides.

I bow down my head in reverence to the Supreme Powerful Presence.

I understand this Supreme Power has been controlling me during my journey in life.

O the All-Powerful Presence,

I surrender all my vanity to Thee.

I surrender all my desires to Thee.

I surrender all my illusions to Thee.

I surrender all my aspirations to Thee.

Please accept me as an ordinary Sevak (worker) in one insignificant corner of your temple premises.

Allow me a little space to stay on your own immortal premises, that You have curved out by Yourself, in this mortal world.

You give me lessons on Value Systems afresh.

You give me Diksha (Initiation) on selfless service and renunciation.

I am humbly waiting for your call.

I am in search of a new definition of life that talks about giving away.

A life that talks about endurance.

A life that leads towards newer enlightenments.

A life that opens up newer paths towards emancipation.

A life that shows the way to the elevation of the Atman.
