NZ Speaker of the Year

NZ Speaker of the Year

I have some rather exciting news to share.

On Saturday, I was absolutely floored and humbled to be awarded both 'Keynote Speaker of the Year' and 'Educator of the Year' at the Professional Speakers Association National Awards. Especially thrilled to have my husband Morrie and wonderful mentor, friend and mother-in-law Robyn Pearce there to celebrate with me! If you want to see the emotional moment - check out this short clip of the award announcement.

Huge congratulations to all the AMAZING finalists, and special congrats Pritesh Chandra for winning the other 2 awards as 'Breakthrough Speaker of the Year' and 'Best MC at a PSANZ National Meeting' awards.

I'm incredibly thankful to thanks to convenor Clare Feeney (in white), and president Julia Grace (in yellow) - with Pritesh and I - together with all the team at the Professional Speakers Association for running such stellar awards! I especially appreciated getting personalised feedback from the international judges.

Perhaps even more specially, I also received the designation of Certified Speaking Professional. The speaking industry's international measure of professional platform skill. This is quite separate from our national awards as something the Global Speakers Federation confers upon "a speaker who has reached the highest professional level in his chosen field of expertise." I'm now one of only a dozen CSPs in New Zealand.

It was extra special to have Robyn Pearce, who herself was the first CSP in New Zealand announce this designation.

I'm still rather speechless, (oh the irony)!

It's such a privilege to do work that I love and to hear that it makes a difference for people.

Those moments when someone comes up to me and shares that they heard me speak years ago and something I shared changed their life - that's what warms my heart and is why I put so much effort and energy to what I do.

To all my clients, colleagues, friends and everyone that's been part of this journey, thank YOU! I couldn't have done it without you all.

Feeling incredibly grateful!

Ngā mihi nui,

Lauren

PS - If this reminds you that you " I must get Lauren in to speak before the end of the year", I only have 2 remaining spots available for late November, otherwise I'm booked up until March 2024. I'm really looking forward to connecting with lots of wonderful audiences next year. So, feel free to download my Info Kit and reach out early if I can help with anything! Happy to be of service.
