NYC Neighborhood Highlight: Crown Heights

It’s that time of the month when we get to review NYC’s best neighborhoods to live in. For this month, we are looking into Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood and why it could be the best place to find your dream home.?

?

Where is Crown Heights??

With a population of 143,000 people and spanning 1.4 square miles, Crown Heights sits right smack in the middle of Brooklyn.?

?

It is bordered by Bedford Stuyvesant to the north and Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Garden to the south. On the east is Brownsville while Prospect Heights borders the neighborhood’s western side.?

?

During its heyday, the neighborhood was the residence of New York City’s elite class, particularly along the Eastern Parkway where you can find numerous brownstone buildings.?

?

Along with a sizeable Jewish and African-American population, migrants from Jamaica and elsewhere contributed to the neighborhood’s culturally diverse environment.?

?

Today, Crown Heights offers an eclectic mix of amenities that fit any lifestyle. Both new and longtime residents have fallen in love with the neighborhood’s peaceful environment, beautiful row houses, and walkable community.

?
