Maintaining your tooling in proper working order is one of the most important factors of world-class manufacturing. It's a fact that the harder you run your molds the more your vents will clog up decreasing your efficiencies. Our patented InnoVent Pins offer up to 15 times more venting than regular pins on the market, but they still require proper care and attention to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

To help maintain your InnoVent Pins, we have outlined three best practices:

1. Perform ultrasonic cleaning on InnoVent Pins during each Prevenitivie Manufacturing (PM) cycle using an ultrasonic cleaning machine. The cavitation of ultrasonic cleaning scrubs the small pores to break up the solids and clear them out of the venting area. Follow the directions for your specific brand and model.
2. Apply a dry rust prevention product to the molds and InnoVent Pins when they are not in use on the production line. This will help keep them in good working condition.
3. Avoid using any other sprays or products, including mold releases. These products can result in premature clogging of the vent.
