Nw study of effects of CBD on Corona Virus launched.

More than three decades ago the US had been under the scourge of another virus called HIV and the disease it begat called AIDS. Walter Marcinowski was part of an advertising and marketing firm that promoted Moet & Chandon Champagnes and one of the strongest markets was the one most effected by the epidemic. The team decided that rather than accept the situation, it should be a part of the solution rather than just redirecting its efforts. It began sponsoring numerous events in raising funds, which were donated to research as well as activating local programs providing condoms at Night Clubs and other events as well as clean disposable needles. 

Now three plus decades later he is working as a consultant to a group who is one of the most respected producer of quality Hemp extracted CBD products in the US called Hammer Enterprises, LLC of Evergreen Colorado. A few weeks ago they were discussing the situation at hand with the Corona Virus when Mr. Marcinowski suggested that once again rather than sitting back and waiting for things to right themselves they should be proactive and be a part of the solution as opposed to the problem.  Chris Hammer, his brother Justin and the team at Hammer Enterprises agreed. There was evidence in a number of animal studies that CBD was effective in treating respiratory inflammation and it was presently being utilized in treating asthma and COPD etc.. A number of companies in the CBD industry are touting it as a “cure all” which the team recognizes is actually a very dangerous path and could not only seriously harm people but damage the reputation of the industry as well. Chris Hammer is highly skeptical of any claims not backed by science and the team felt the same. For this reason they felt that the only way to truly determine what if any effect it might have on treating the ARDS pneumonia induced by the CORONA Virus was to team up with medical researchers and assist in conducting a clinical study. 

Questions are numerous and need to be clarified like CBD is an effective anti-viral agent. Can it have an effect in the prevention of contracting the virus? On the other hand It is also an anti inflammatory. If the body is responding to the invasion of the virus causing inflammation from its immune system could that actually be a negative effect? In most studies it seems that its best use is later to reduce inflammation afterwards and support recovery. But none of this has a real clinical study behind it. 

Through a marketing associate of Mr. Marcinowski, Kevin Alexander put them in contact with DR. Minh a former tenured professor of the Physics Department at Stanford University and a holder of 33 patents some of which are dedicated to in depth diagnostics of the respiratory system of the heart and lungs. After some discussion and research, Dr. Minh felt there was a very strong potential that it could be effective in treating the inflammation caused by this virus. The team was then put together as Hamminh Research, LLC. with Dr. Minh now creating the premise for the studies and identifying the research team and Hammer Enterpirses providing the science and products for the studies. Mr. Marcinowski will oversee the project management.
