ENVGO NV1 Wins The Gussies 2024! ??

We’re thrilled to announce that the ENVGO NV1 has been awarded the 2024 Gustave Trouvé Award for Excellence in Electric Boats and Boating in the category ‘Electric Boats Under 8m / 26 ft In Development’.

This prestigious recognition reflects the support of over 6,000 electric boating enthusiasts worldwide and the expert votes of an International Panel of 32 industry leaders, whose votes were weighted at 3:1.

This is the first time in the award's five-year history that a Canadian company has been among the winners.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, and congratulations to all nominees for driving forward the movement toward innovation and sustainability in the boating industry! It is our honor to represent Canada on the world stage for sustainable innovation.

Updates From the Boat Building Team

"They say the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The concepts, designs, components, theories, and calculations we've worked on for the ENVGO NV1 have all been incredibly exciting steps in its development. But nothing compares to the thrill of seeing it all come together on the water and watching it fly."

–– Paul Masojc , Co-Founder & COO at ENVGO.

Following incredible progress in 2024, our engineers are continuing to carry out performance and flight testing this winter. ENVGO will be perfecting the real-time flight control system while also beginning to integrate interiors that include things such as a fully composite deck.

The engineering and test teams are heading south to continue testing in warmer winter water and will return to Ontario this spring to deliver demonstrations to a long list of early adopters already curious to witness NV1 in action.

A Sustainable Option Without Sacrificing Performance

We’re delighted to be featured by The Cool Down, a publication dedicated to helping people help the planet. ?? The TCD crew highlighted how environmentally friendly power sources for boats could help make "an eco-friendly dent in the estimated 105 billion gallons of fuel used annually across the global maritime industry."

––“The ENVGO NV1 offers luxury boating enthusiasts a greener option for cruising on open waters with its all-electric NV1 hydrofoil craft. In addition, it will be able to address issues commonly associated with boating, including pollution, maintenance, and noise.”

Applications Are Open for the EV Charging Infrastructure Program Targeting Underserved Communities

The EV movement continues! The third round of applications for the Charged for Change program, which offers funding for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects to municipalities and Indigenous communities, is now open.

This initiative aims to expand access to EV charging stations, particularly in areas with limited or no infrastructure, helping more people make the switch to electric vehicles.

As of mid-September 2024, charging stations funded by the program have supported 2,600 charging sessions, totaling 8,300 hours of charging time.

“We recognize that the lack of publicly available EV charging stations can be a barrier to EV adoption,” said a program spokesperson. “We’re committed to helping people, especially those in underserved communities, transition to electric vehicles.”

Applications can be submitted until February 20, 2025.
