Nutanix Cloud Clusters - More Instance Types, Regions and Nutanix Files comes to Azure!

The self-service nature of Nutanix Cloud Clusters ? (NC2) continues to give customers a wide variety of options around bare metal and Regions to select from. Nutanix has recently added i4i.metal and m6id.metal to an already large list of supported bare metal for AWS.

As of April 7th NC2 on AWS now supports five new regions, namely Asia Pacific (Hyderabad), Asia Pacific (Melbourne), EU (Spain), EU (Zurich), Middle East (UAE) with m5d.metal and i3en.metal instances.

As of April 14th, NC2 on AWS?now supports AOS 6.6.2. You can now create a new cluster using AOS 6.6.2 or upgrade your existing clusters to AOS 6.6.2.

On the Azure side of the house, Nutanix Files? just went to general availability to have parity with AWS. You can deploy Files in a virtual private Cloud (VPC) on Azure bare metal servers. The Files Manager uses the networking technologies of NC2 and Nutanix Flow Virtual Networking to provide the capability of deploying Files in a VPC. Also with the release you can Tier to Azure Blob Storage as the object store for standard tiering.

It’s been a busy month for the NC2 team and more things to come as we roll into .Next in May.
