Welcome back to the second edition of "AgeWell & Thrive"! We hope you've been taking great care of yourselves and embracing each day with enthusiasm and Joy. In this issue, we're diving deep into the power of positivity and how it can fuel your journey towards aging well and living life to the fullest.

A positive outlook on life can work wonders for your overall well-being. Life isn't always great yet it's about how we respond to life that is important. Let's explore the science behind positivity and share practical tips to cultivate it in your daily life.

??♀? Mindfulness Matters ??♀?

Mindfulness is a powerful tool for staying present, reducing stress, and enhancing your quality of life. Discover mindfulness exercises that can help you stay grounded and enjoy the beauty of the present moment, no matter what age. For me it's a meditation in the morning before the sun comes up. Or a short breathing exercise midday if I need a little reset on being present . What do you do ?

?? Nourishing Your Soul ??

Self-care isn't just about skincare routines and masks at night in the bath. It's about nourishing your soul and I think most importantly putting yourself first. As women we are most often giving to others. My mom taught me how to get s*$t down. Yet I needed to learn later in life to ask for help and take care of me. Explore ways to create a self-care routine that rejuvenates you from the inside out. We'll share ideas for pampering yourself, connecting with nature, and embracing activities that bring joy.

?? Community Spotlight ??

This edition, we're shining a spotlight on some remarkable women from our community. Discover their stories, their journeys, and the lessons they've learned on their paths to aging well and thriving.

Meet Kristen Jakubowski , a friend and colleague of mine and a member of the Age Well and Thrive community . She is a shining example of positivity and resilience in our community of women over 40. Even in the face of adversity and loss, she has stayed positive and made choices to make not only her life better but others lives as well.

Here's why Kristen is an inspiration to us all:

  1. Positivity in the Face of Adversity: When I met Kristen, she had experienced several losses. Her dad had died suddenly and the dream job that she thought she would have forever had been eliminated. Along with that her husband, they were trying to have a family and they were facing great challenges even during infertility treatments. Instead of giving into despair, she chose to focus on the positive aspects of life. She adopted a daily gratitude practice and embraced learning about a healthier lifestyle.
  2. Physical and Mental Wellness: Kristen being a therapist by trade knows the importance of strong mental wellness. She found herself unhealthy, overweight and lacking energy. She learned about simple switches she could make each day to start to create better health. Over time she found herself closer to her pregnancy weight, feeling more energized and loving her life.
  3. Goal setting and living on Purpose: As Kristen got healthier and worked closely with me as her mentor, she learned if she shared her story of overcoming, she could inspire others. She found a way for an extra income that their family despirately needed when she joined my team of Wellness Ambassadors. Her husband and her sat down and set some big goals for their family. I've always been inspired by Kristens interest to learn and grow and learn from mentors. She now has a thriving online wellness business and helps hundreds of women overcome their own adversity and health struggles. As she has cultivated her business, She is living out her and her husbands dreams of being a mom first and of going on the road with their RV in the summer and enjoying the US with their 2 lovely girls. Kristens story reminds us that our circumstance don't define who we can be and that age is just a number, and with the right attitude, we can navigate life's challenges with grace and emerge stronger and happier.
  4. ?? The Power of Gratitude ??

Gratitude is a superpower that can transform your life. We'll explore the benefits of practicing gratitude and offer practical exercises to help you incorporate it into your daily routine. There is so much here but the simple step of writing down 10 things you are grateful for each morning in your journal is one of THE best ways to start a day, realizing all that you have to be grateful for.
