In the heart of Saginaw Villas, Roots Management Group Community Manager Brandie Crane orchestrated a heartwarming event that brought smiles to the faces of students and families. “It was a remarkable success! We saw so many kids smiling as they received a new backpack and they were filled with new supplies, a wonderful way to kick off the school year” says Crane who along with her staff filled the backpacks themselves. As a new school year approached, the community came together to provide a helping hand to those in need. With the support of local businesses and sponsors, 72 backpacks brimming with school supplies were distributed to eager students.?



The backpack giveaway was not only about back-to-school essentials; it was an opportunity for the community to connect and celebrate. The event featured Kona Ice treats and various engaging games and activities. The atmosphere was electric as children reveled in the joy of back-to-school preparations, all while building stronger bonds with their neighbors.?

“We are helping our residents clean up the bulky items that are not allowed to be thrown out in the typical garbage service, and we saw many residents helping each other and our maintenance staff is helping as well” says Valerie Fisher, Community Manager at Spring Lake. In four days, two dumpsters were made available to dispose of trash and bulk items. Residents came together to clear their homes of unwanted furniture, household items, and more, ensuring a clutter-free and aesthetically pleasing neighborhood. What is truly inspiring is that the event was not just about cleaning; it was an opportunity to give back to the local community. Donated items were collected to support local charities, highlighting Roots Management Group's belief in the power of kindness and compassion. Fisher is already busy planning a community wide clean up at the second property she manages Anderson Creek.




“We are looking forward to giving the residence an opportunity to get rid of the bulky items that are hard to dispose of, and we are helping with the heavy lifting. The community looks so great and welcoming when it is neat, organized and clutter free.” Fisher said as she was surveying the community, seeing the dumpsters overflowing. ?
