Nugget: Do You Know Yourself?

We are in the process of discussing the 10 energy disciplines from the book? The EOS Life?by Gino Wickman.?
We’ve discussed the first discipline, “10-Year Thinking†and the second one, “Take time offâ€. Today I want to spend some time on the third: “Know?Thyselfâ€.?
This energy discipline helps us to realize that, if we understand ourselves better, we can spend our time more wisely.
We don't have to spend time in time-wasting activities. Because if I understand exactly how I'm wired, if I'm an extrovert or an introvert, what my personal style preferences are, and what triggers me and what doesn't trigger me, I'm able to go through my day more productively, I can stay above certain situations, and I can prepare myself for encounters and meetings with people that might trigger some emotions in me.?
So, it's really important that we?know?ourselves.?
What I personally have done is assessments and exercises like the?Clifton Strength Finders?exercise, to?know?what where my strengths lie. I've done the?Personal Style Indicator?to understand what my personal style is like. I’ve done the?Kolbe Index, that we use in EOS?with my clients, so that we?know?whether?you?are a Quick Start or a Fact Finder, a Follow Through or an Implementer.?

If?you?can understand?yourself?better,?you?can determine what is really driving your progress.?
And also, if there is anything that?you?get stuck with, that?you?need help with, it's imperative that?you?get a coach to help?you, or a therapist. Get the therapy. Get to the place where?you?can understand what is happening for?yourself?- in your brain, in your heart, in your psyche, so that?you?can be a better person going forward.?
There?you?have it. Make a point of understanding who?you?are. Understand?yourself?and understand also what can make?you?a better and a stronger leader, a person who can help others by showing up your best self.?
So, there?you?go. The third energy discipline, “Know?Thyselfâ€.?
Have a great week, and we'll speak again next week.
Best wishes,
