Nubold Group Case Study: Defence Client

Well... we can't show you too much else we'd have to kill you however here is an insight in to a project we have been working on for a prestigious defence client of ours.

At the Nubold Group we pride ourselves on having the machinery and experience to produce fabricated components in a variety of materials for the defence industry which we have done so for many years now.

We specialise in manufacturing difficult to process materials such as 6000 series aluminium and a variety of steel armour grades. Parts that would traditionally be a welded fabrication can be folded which subsequently cuts down on secondary welding ops.

This particular project has been taken from the clients model, developed into working drawings, laser cut, folded, welded, inserted and then fully chemical bonded & riveted. The final part of the process is to pretreat using Surtec650 , seam seal and then powder coat in a 10% gloss finish.

Following FAI of the product and any final changes from the client we will move to the production run of 200 off over a staged delivery.
