Nu: The Heartbeat of the Industry - A Fun and Vivacious Talent Up For Grabs!

Meet Nu, currently “untapped talent”, originally from South Africa who is looking for her dream job. Today I am featuring her in my series "Six Degrees of Separation from an Awesome Job," in the hope of connecting with the right job opportunity. Because your next dream job might be six degrees away!

So let's get to know Nu a little better.?

As Nu and are collaborating on this piece, we were reminiscing on how we actually know each other and we can’t pinpoint it because we are both EVERYWHERE. We run in so many of the same circles and are always out and about and meeting everyone. That being said, let me tell you about the infamous Nu.

She truly embodies the spirit of chasing your dreams and making them a reality. At just 18 years old, Nu left her home country of South Africa to pursue her passion for music and become a recording artist in Europe.

FUN FACT: Nu is super adventurous and has bungee-jumped off the highest bridge in Africa! Here’s her paragliding in South Africa.?

Nu has a diverse background, having lived in Munich, Germany for over a decade with short stints in the USA and Singapore. She holds a Diploma in Public Relations and Media Studies, as well as a German-accredited Project Management and Social Media Management Certification.?

She has worked as a radio producer and presenter and has over 15 years of global event management experience, including working with high-profile brands such as 西门子 , 奥迪 , and 宝马 . She has also managed events for the Munich International Film Festival, The Nobel Prize After Party, TEDxStockholm and SHOCKHOLM . (Go Nu!)

Some of you in Stockholm might remember her as the heart of the community at popular coworking space THE WORKS (ex Workaround, ex Stayaround) which was home to over 200 startups and where she lit up the room and made sure everyone was welcome and took care of.

Nu has a unique set of skills and interests that make her stand out:

? She has a community-driven personality that allows her to create fun and unique events, even on a shoestring budget.?

? She has a talent for getting people talking and connecting, who would never otherwise.?

? Nu has a German-style attention to detail in project management and can create a family feel wherever she goes.?

? Her bold outfits and her way-too-loud-for-Sweden laugh make her unforgettable.?

? Nu is also super creative with a great eye for details, specializing in creative concepts and storytelling.?

? She has experience in creating visual assets for clients and branding, as well as copywriting and writing articles for press.?

? Nu also has experience in artist management (check out her band Louis Pax!)

When it comes to her next career move, Nu is looking to work in a fun, international, and creative team that feels like a family. She is open to a hybrid role in a creative agency, an interesting start-up, or a larger corporation, as long as it is a product or service she believes in. Ideally, she wants to do something that is making a difference in the world and combine people and creativity.?
