NTT DATA's Global Automotive Security Test Center is launched in Italy

• Thanks to the new Global Automotive Security Test Center, NTT DATA is at the forefront of applied automotive cybersecurity.
• The first project will be with Marelli and C2A Security on the automated generation of security tests on car ECUs and data analytics to support V-SOCs

?NTT DATA, a leading Japanese multinational IT company, has announced the launch in Italy of the Global Automotive Security Test Center, a center that will deliver security tests on connected cars to secure and protect the systems of such vehicles from cyber-attacks for clients in all countries where the Group operates.

In line with new European regulations that require new security standards in order to certify and offer new cars for sale, NTT DATA's Global Automotive Security Test Center offers innovative solutions in the field of cybersecurity applied to automotive. The expanding automotive market for hyperconnected vehicles represents an area with an increasing need to ensure security and protection from exposure to cyber-attacks. NTT DATA's new Center aims to respond to the ever-changing cyber threats by working closely with customers.

?The first project of the Global Automotive Security Test Center, in collaboration with Marelli and C2A Security, was presented yesterday at the escar - The World's Leading Automotive Cyber Security Conference in Berlin, a benchmark event for automotive cybersecurity.

The solution tested using C2A’s flagship product #EVSec involves the automatic generation of "System Level Fuzz Testing," a technology aimed at uncovering bugs and vulnerabilities for car ECU software. The project carried out with C2A Security and Marelli also covers anomaly detection of communication between ECUs and is particularly innovative because artificial intelligence algorithms can identify any attacks in progress and send alerts to a control center (Vehicle Security Operation Center) that can promptly intervene.
