NTT DATA and UHL helping the homeless

The Bridge – “Homelessness to Hope” is a charity based in Melton Road in Leicester.

Leicester has 22% of the population living in income deprived households and this Centre is based in an area of the City which suffers the results of high levels of poverty. Their clients are amongst the most marginalised people in the City and often have other complex issues in addition to, or as a direct result, of being homeless. Some will have been excluded from mainstream services or do not access them because they feel stigmatized.

NTT DATA along with their partners the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) are proud to help this charity by providing, configuring and supporting a number of devices that were being replaced by the eQuip program. By providing these devices including iPads, desktop bundles and laptops, the charity was able to not only refresh their administration devices for the staff but provide devices for their homeless clients for access to the internet and to develop social and computing skills.

This is a great by-product of the eQuip program where 8000 devices have been replaced in UHL. It a pleasure to help such a great worthy cause.
