NTSB on Plane Crash / IOSA News / CAA auditing Go Air

Clark County Plane Crash preliminary NTSB Report

KTNV LAS reports about a preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) that indicates that a plane that crashed in Cal-Nev-Ari last month, killing a couple, was seen "rapidly descending" before the incident. The couple, Glen Robert McKenna, 72, and his wife, Bonnie Jean McKenna, 70, were embarking on a flight from their winter residence in Nevada to their primary home in Iowa when their amateur-built Glastar plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The NTSB has indicated that all details are subject to change and a comprehensive investigation is underway, with the final report to be released subsequently:


New IOSA documents freshly released

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has released the latest versions of the IOSA MNT (Maintenance Organization and Aircraft Systems) Equipment Tables 4.11 and 4.14 (Version ISM Ed 15.2) for future and already registered IOSA Operators. Additionally IATA published new Conformance Report templates for ISM (IATA Standards Manual) Editions 15 and 16, allowing Operators to assess and state their conformity against IOSA standards and recommended practices. Civil Aviation Authority putting Go First under scrutiny

The Times of India reports that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is set to audit airline Go First to evaluate its preparedness to resume operations, according to a note sent to employees by the airline's VP of flight operations, Rajit Ranjan. The audit will be conducted prior to the recommencement of flights, with pilots undergoing a four-hour refresher on various operational topics. Go First has also assured employees that April salaries will be paid before resuming operations, with subsequent salaries scheduled for the first week of each month:
