The company’s story began with Tony Smith and Libby Prell, they bring a combined 90 years of business experience in the Northern Territory. Tony’s innovative approach was sparked in 1974 when he expanded the Uluru Motel by designing 36 transportable motel rooms and pioneered the use of a forklift to unload and place buildings. His passion to find innovative solutions is embedded in the culture of NT Link to this day.

Today, they pride themselves on their people, passion, and purpose. NT Link has grown and become a preferred transportable building provider. With a fleet of over 1,200 buildings across the Northern Territory and Western Australia, they can respond quickly to their clients' needs.

Their rental fleet includes a variety of building types such as, accommodation, offices and classrooms, lunchrooms and dining facilities, kitchens and wet mess areas, recreation rooms and gymnasiums, medical and first aid facilities, laundries and amenities.

NT Link’s sales and design teams work closely with clients to create solutions for projects of all sizes. Their Darwin-based manufacturing facility can produce standard building designs within weeks, using high-quality materials from Australian suppliers. All buildings comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and are designed to endure Australia’s harsh remote environments while ensuring comfort for occupants.

Health, safety, and environmental sustainability are at the core of NT Link’s operations. They hold ISO accreditations 14001, 9001, and 45001, underscoring their commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.

They prioritise employing local and Indigenous workers and fostering future talent through initiatives such as the Vocational Education & Training (VET) program and Australian Apprenticeships NT.
