Some new changes to the NSW requirements for post-arrival requirements for isolation/quarantine for unvaccinated traveller has been released.
Federal requirements - NO CHANGE
International travellers must meet vaccination requirements and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- If vaccinated, you must present your COVID-19 vaccination certificate to the airline staff when checking-in for your travel. You may also be required to present it to border officials upon arrival in Australia. Travel exemption is not required.
- If you cannot be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine for medical reasons, you must provide acceptable evidence of a medical contraindication. If the evidence provided is acceptable, travel exemption is not required.
- If unvaccinated without medical reasons, a travel exemption (and visa) will be required before you can enter Australia.
On a federal level, Australia does not require pre-departure COVID-19 testing to enter, leave or transit Australia but this may be required by the state government or the airline that they are travelling with (see below for New South Wales).
