NRG Newsletter Vol 321. – April 4th, 2024

The wait is FINALLY over. NRG VALORANT fans, it’s time to begin official play in the VCT Americas League THIS Saturday against our old rivals, LOUD, in the return of the original El Clásico.

Positioned as one of the members of the Alpha Group, we will play each member of the Omega Group (LOUD, 100T, MIBR, EG, FURIA and Leviatan) once throughout the course of the next five weeks with the goal being to qualify for the VCT Americas League Stage 1 Playoffs. These playoffs ultimately decide the top-3 teams who book their tickets to Masters Shanghai for another chance at capturing international glory in front of the worldwide audience. As one of five members of the Alpha Group, finishing in first place is crucial, as we will receive a first-round bye into the upper-bracket semifinals with one less step to qualifying for LAN.

The team of Demon1, Ethan, Marved, Victor and crashies have been in the lab all offseason along with coach Chet to devise the best gameplans and strategies for each of our opponents. Also returning to the NRG VALORANT YouTube is a BRAND NEW episode of our Docuseries Radiance. Be sure to check it out when it drops on Friday before the start of league play as we detail just how stressful the VCT offseason was and the incredible journey our team has been on in just a short time spent together.

The?season kicks off this Saturday at 5 PM PT on the VALORANT Americas Twitch channel. BE SURE to stay tuned to our NRG social accounts (for more goat content…and) for the latest match updates including more information on a very familiar face bringing some W watch parties back to the #NRGFam!

WE THREW THE BIGGEST PARTY LEAGUE OF LEGENDS HAS EVER SEEN and we gave away $10,000 to a lucky fan while doing so!

Thank you to everyone who came to the NRG Spectrum Castle last Saturday and gave support to NRG Sapnap’s Keep It Up Creator Clash, followed by the official NRG Kia LCS Spring Finals Watch Party, all presented by our amazing partners at Kia. The NRG Spectrum Castle was packed with fans on hand to celebrate the best creators and competitors that League of Legends and the LCS have to offer.

Sapnap’s Creator Clash proved to be a massive hit with the fans, with Ovilee May, Dhokla and Contractz joining alongside Sap to prove who was the best balloon battler of them all. It may have been his event, but Sapnap was the first to be sent to the sidelines with his friends Ovilee and Dhokla besting him after five minute rounds.?

Ultimately, it was NRG favorite jungler Contractz who took home the bragging rights of being a Keep It Up Champion, winning one lucky fan inside the NRG Spectrum Castle a grand prize of $10,000! Our fan’s reasoning for picking Contractz to win was simple - he liked his cool Kia bucket hat. Well, sometimes a cool hat can pay off big time!?
