NRC Employee Story: Mary Kay DeRoche

What is your favorite part of your job?

I really enjoy helping IT professionals make good, solid, and wise career moves. I’m always looking out for my recruits to ensure their positions satisfy them personally, professionally, and financially.

What work or project are you most proud of?

The COVID-19 pandemic was and continues to be a challenging and unprecedented time in history and for our workforce. I feel fortunate that I’ve been able to help as many people as I possibly can get back to work during such an uncertain time.

What’s different about New Resources Consulting from other companies?

New Resources Consulting is always coming up with creative ways to help our clients and consultants. For example, our Education Reimbursement Program helps promising candidates expand their horizons and really highlights NRC’s overall commitment to education, knowledge, learning, and personal and professional growth.

Any advice for someone who is considering working at NRC?

I would say the keys to success at NRC are working hard every day, making sure you’re open to learning from others, and always being flexible.

Outside of work what can you be found doing?

I love an afternoon spent inside, curled up with a good book. I also enjoy skiing, golfing, and a day spent playing with our dogs.

What is your “unique?”

In the workplace, I really pride myself on building solid relationships with my consultants; I always want them to trust me—and I believe they do!
