NQM - National Quantum Mission

On April 19, the National Quantum Mission (NQM) was authorized by the Indian Union Cabinet with a financial allocation of Rs 6003.65 crores?from 2023-24 to 2030-31. The Mission will run from 2023–2024 through 2030–2031. Its goal is to launch, support, and scale up scientific and industry R&D while building a dynamic and creative environment for quantum technology. NQM can raise the nation's technological development eco-system to a level where it is competitive on a worldwide scale. The mission would have a significant positive impact on the financial, energy, health, communication, and pharmaceutical industries as well as space applications. Priorities including "Digital India," "Make in India," "Skill India," "Stand-up India," "Start-up India," "Self-reliant India," and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) will receive a significant boost as a result.
