NPSOA Announces Inaugural Scholarship Recipients

The Board of Directors of the National Print and Sign Owners Association (NPSOA) is pleased to announce the recipients of its inaugural Scholarship Program.

Launched this year, the program supports the relatives of owner companies or their employees’ relatives who are pursuing a career in printing management, business management that would apply to the operations of a printing or sign company, printing technology, or graphic design within the print and sign industry in North America.??

The following three students were awarded a total of $9,500.

Madison Garcia

Madison Garcia is the daughter of Steven Garcia, owner of CG Printers, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Analytics from the University of San Diego.? By leveraging data-driven decision-making, Ms. Garcia hopes to optimize operations and improve customer engagement within her father’s company.? She hopes to use predictive analytics to anticipate market trends and enhance the overall efficiency of CG Printers, Inc.

Brianne Garner?

Brianne Garner is the daughter of Ken and Julia Bishop, who own The Biz Zone in Fruitland, Idaho. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree online from the University of Idaho. The program provides a comprehensive understanding of business fundamentals, including sales management, business leadership, and enterprise systems integration. She plans to implement these skills when she takes over the family business in a few years.

Ryan Wallace?

Ryan Wallace is the son of Michael Wallace, owner of Print It! In Seneca, South Carolina. He is pursuing a degree in Computer Science from the College of Charleston. Ryan plans to use computer skills within his family company to streamline business operations and increase productivity.? He hopes to use programming expertise to develop advanced graphic design tools that can automate and optimize the creation of print and sign materials.?

“The NPSOA Board is excited about the quality of the first group of NPSOA scholarship recipients, and will closely monitor their progress going forward,” states Nathaniel Grant, Chairman of the Board.? “We are proud to make this investment in the future of our industry.”?

The Board would like to recognize the generous contribution to the Scholarship Program by Carolyn D. DeHart, the widow of the association’s first Chairman of the Board Jace Prejean, owner of Bayou Printing and Graphics (Houma, LA).?
