“Freedom is inside of you. You hold the key to unlock it”
With summer now upon us, school graduations over, with nonprofit season’s ending, and your New Year’s resolutions in the rear-view mirror, what comes to your mind when you think of creating your own “Freedom” for the final 6 months of 2024?
For my clients, and the incredible people I talk with every day, having the freedom to choose where and how you spend your time is a top priority. ?
This is far from a selfish mindset?
The people I am thinking about are guided by big “so that’s”. ?They aim to choose the embodied actions that simultaneously bring them joy, communicate their value and superpowers, all so that they can have big impact in their businesses, community, family, and the world. (Interestingly, a health crisis, loss of a job or loved one, or reaching a breaking point,?are all common catalysts for finding the courage to shift to living a life with this intention.)
The tricky part
This freedom of choice, however, means … YOU must first determine what you (really) want and why.? And, by “really want” I mean knowing what brings you joy, understanding the impact you love creating, why, and how – including how to monetize it, communicate it, leverage it and cultivate it.
No one teaches you “that”
For many, you’ve moved through life with success.? Even though your decisions were made based upon goals that were set as children or young adults, the expectations of others, invitations and requests from others, or just happenstance.
However, for a few, there comes a moment where you want to make a change, or one is forced upon you.
In those pivotal Crossroad Moments, how do you decide what to do next?
There can come a time when self-help programs, confidence-building exercises, strengths finding tests, retreats, experienced and well-meaning colleagues and friends, and even processes that have helped you in the past… don’t get to the heart of the matter.?
They don’t help to reveal the missing and foundational “self-intel” that is critical to making Next Step decisions that are based upon… your truth.? They don’t guide you through “implementation” and “real life” scenarios of business, career and personal life – that directly align with your truth.

When you are given the gift of being aware you are in a Crossroad Moment, you have an opportunity to make a choice to utilize familiar coping strategies - or try something that has empowered hundreds of amazing people just like you curate a life previously unimaginable.?It’s the proverbial fork in the road, and time and strategy are of the essence.?
Before you jump in to action, or before you make a big decision that doesn’t create the possibility for the life you want, make a choice to take responsibility and to take charge in a new way. [A note: if your Crossroad Moment was in the past and today you are realizing that the path you embarked on turned out to not get you what you truly wanted – it’s not too late.]?
