Now you can join TikTok Academy
TikTok continues to educate marketers and just launched a new education program called "TikTok Academy." Within the program you can join different courses on how to get the best use of #TikTok for marketing, additionally, you can also access research data and other additional information. Similar as with Meta's Blueprint courses and Twitter's "Flight School", you can earn badges for the completion of each course. (via Social Media Today)
LinkedIn Adds New ‘Person’ and ‘Page’ Link Stickers to Improve In-App Engagement
There have been numerous complaints about the LinkedIn algorithm in the past few weeks and since then #Linkedin has been launching new features to improve engagement on the platform. After adding Link Sticker back in August, providing new creative considerations for your updates, LinkedIn has now also added ‘Person’ and ‘Page’ variations, which can help you drive more traffic with your Linkedin posts. According to the screenshot below, you can now also link to internal profiles, which could help to generate more in-app engagement. (via Search Engine Journal)

Snap’s added a range of new Halloween-themed lenses, including Rune Room, which stamps runes across your walls, and Spooky Pet, which can transform your pet into a ghost-like apparition. Snap’s also added five new Bitmoji costumes, including a cat burglar, a devil catsuit, a superhero, a cheerleader, and an 80s aerobics instructor. (via Snapchat Newsroom)
Campaign of the week: WhatsApp 3D screen at Piccadilly
This campaign caught my eye last week as I think it's another great example how you can use a 3D billboard screen. WhatsApp has taken over Piccadilly Lights, Twitch and Roblox in the final phase of its global brand campaign to highlight the messaging app’s privacy features. According to #Whatsapp, they wanted to show "how WhatsApp’s features provide interlocking layers of protection and give users full control over the level of privacy they are seeking." (via The Drum)
Tools for marketers: Scribe
Now, since Covid-19 broke out, we've struggled to get used to video calls via #Zoom or #GoogleMeet. And sometimes it was harder to explain something via a call as you were limited. I started using Loom back then to record an explanation next to excel tables or presentations I was sending. I accidentally found Scribe, I think it was via Justin Welsh. I've tested it very briefly and so far I must say I am excited to use it more. The app offers you to quickly shot videos and explain the process through step-by-step screenshots. Give a try and let me know what you think.
