Now You Can Get Stuff Done Without Motivation

I used to think I had to feel motivated to go to the gym or even to plan out any meals ahead of time.

Many of you may be able to relate to me and my clients.

Last week my client asked me an interesting question during our coaching session. ?

?Not a bad question. But the question doesn't give a useful answer. ?

?The question is... ?

"?Why am I not feeling motivated to get to my goal weight during this time?"

?I get it. Who doesn't want a straight forward answer to help them get motivated.

?But the answer may just serve instant encouragement and not an actual strategy. ?

?So there is a better question to ask. ?

?Here it is...?

?What specific feeling is going to fuel me to plan my meals ahead of time? ?

?Now that's a good question and sets you up for a tactical answer. ?

Why?

Because you do not need to feel motivated to get stuff done. ?

?Yes you read it correctly. ?

?That is just a made up belief to stop you from taking action and moving towards your goal. ?

Motivation doesn't last for a long period of time and may not be the fuel you need for a specific task.

?You may need to feel determined, empowered, unstoppable or undefeated for you to take action. Get curious and begin by asking yourself...

?What specific feeling is going to fuel me to plan my meals ahead of time? ?

?Taking action doesn't just happen.?

?It begins with your thoughts. Your thoughts create your feelings and your feelings drive your actions. ?

?So once you figure out the feeling that drives you to take action then ask yourself this...?

?What do I need to think to feel this way? ?

?One last thing...?

?The key is training your mind intentionally to help you create the feeling you need to fuel you into taking action to create the result you want. ?
