You can not control whether or not people check their email while on vacation.


Seeeeew, how about you direct your energy this way instead?

Take these actions TODAY:


  • Focus on the "header" lines in your content, because that is what attracts the attention initially (subject lines of newsletters, titles of blogs, the first line in a social media posting, etc.)
  • Take a little time and review how your energy comes across. Record a meeting with a prospect, analyze your video content, playback a recording of voicemails you left. Are you presenting a vibrant and engaging communication that maximizes the likelihood of someone wanting to respond?
  • Customize the content to a summer theme that would may not about wealth management per se, but is still of value. Example: "How much should I budget for my vacation?"
  • If none of this works, take it as an opportunity to review your marketing strategy. What has worked, and what has not? Are there contacts from the past you should be digging up and connecting with on LinkedIn?
