Now We Stand!

These are words from an American Veteran ... This is one of the most inspiring letters I have read. There is hope! Thought I would share this.

Mr. President: @potus

cc: Americans

A survey of American ground combat veterans determined they overwhelmingly desired seven essential characteristics to be possessed by those sent to lead them. Those characteristics have become known among combat veterans as the Seven C’s of Leadership. The Seven C’s of Leadership listed in the order of their importance as determined by the veterans themselves are; Candor, Competence, Consistency, Commitment, Courage, Compassion, and Courtesy. The reason the veterans in the survey chose the word “candor” is because to them, candor encompasses both omission and co-mission. To a combat veteran lack of absolute candor; be it co-mission or omission, are equal sins! In short, veterans expect/demand absolute candor from their leaders before all else.

Mr. President this information is provided to you at this time because many veterans are among the millions of American citizens who saw in you something that has been missing in America for most of its history. So many of us saw in you a leader who has lived and practiced the Seven C’s of Leadership to the point that you have set the nation on a path to heights most of us never dreamed possible.

Now comes the very people who out of ignorance and/or pure greed have held this nation captive of a feudal system trying to reverse all of the gains you have led us to achieve. In addition to their absolute disregard for candor, they demonstrate a total lack of regard for the American people and our traditions. Sir, be assured the veterans and the millions of Americans who have placed their faith in you will not abandon you nor the movement. Those bent on destroying this nation will not be permitted to succeed by any measure.

Since WWII the American veteran has endured fighting America’s so-called enemies in many parts of the world. Be advised, we have known communists, socialists, Muslims, whatever… were/are not our true enemies. We have known the true enemy full well and for many not fully comprehended reasons we have not resisted to the point of arms. Most of us found a measure of escape in the illusion that our home, America would always provide our sanctuary. That is until one B. H. Obama came on the scene. He and his minions very quickly stripped away any illusions of sanctuary. Now those we were led to believe were our enemies are not only being forced upon us, but they are permitted to spew their philosophies with ease from the very halls of Congress while we are told we must suppress and/or abandon ours and those of our fathers.

Mr. President, I will close with one lesson learned by many combat soldiers sent to fight in the years since WWII. Soldiers (ground combat soldiers, that is) do not fight first and foremost for their country, the flag, motherhood, nor apple pie. Before all else, soldiers engaged in ground combat fight for their fellow soldiers and their unit. Sir, one point to keep in your mind and perhaps you should advise those bent on destroying all you/we have achieved since you came down that escalator. If we veterans are forced to come save the movement we will be fighting for God, our country, the flag, motherhood, apple pie and those traditions/philosophies given us by God and our fathers!

Stand fast Mr. President, we have your flanks and six!
