FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta Estruch took part in the event, delivering the closing remarks for the first day of the congress. In his address, Laporta reflected on the Club’s 125th anniversary, emphasizing the importance of staying true to its roots: “Bar?a’s identity is built on values, and the strength of these values keeps us true to who we are while embracing the opportunities of the modern era.”

He also underscored the need for evolution, stating: “Now is the right time to reimagine the future. The Club must redefine itself to meet the expectations of global markets and fan communities while remaining faithful to our essence.”

Laporta highlighted the strategic role of the Bar?a Innovation Hub (BIHUB) in the world of startups, describing it as “a winning combination that keeps us at the forefront of innovation without losing our essence.” He specifically mentioned the Club’s recent investments in emerging companies such as Omniscope and Riterz, illustrating Bar?a’s commitment to fostering technological advancements in sports.

Accompanying Laporta in this session were Elena Fort, Vice President of FC Barcelona’s Institutional Area; àngel Riudalbas, Board Member responsible for BIHUB; as well as Board Members Xavier Barbany and Miquel Camps. Also present was Berni álvarez, the Sports Minister of the Generalitat de Catalunya, further reinforcing the significance of Bar?a’s innovation-driven initiatives within the broader sports and business landscape.
