Is NOW the right time for a CHANGE?

Is now the right time for a change? That is the million dollar question and I want this post to help you in your decision making. Most humans struggle with change and we all constantly hear that "greatness doesn't occur unless we are outside of our comfort zones." Well the fact is most people STAY in their comfort zones stuck in their daily routines and never push themselves to reach their full potential. Are you meant to be average? To blend in? To fall in line? I would answer NO you were meant for so much more! So how do you know if you are ready? See my assessment below and let me know your thoughts. * Do I feel valued? This doesn't mean your manager praising you to check a box it means do you truly feel like your skill set and what you do every day is valued.

* Am I paid fairly for the value I add to my company? What separates you from your peer group? If you answer no to this question when is the last time you have asked for a raise or for another opportunity? It is not always just about money but let's be honest we all should at least be paid fair market value for the job we are performing especially if we are a consistent top performer.

* Are you clear on the areas you need to improve on to reach the next level of career growth? When is the last time you received meaningful feedback? Are you simply going through the motions or can you honestly say you are "growing" in your career? What are you currently be coached on from your manager?

* Can you see a clear pathway to achieve your aspirations with your current company? Are you and your manager aligned to what could be your next move? Do you have a clear development plan? Timeline?

* Do you wake up motivated and engaged to make a difference in what you do every day at work? This is a big one if this is NO then you really need to assess your situation. You live life 1 time so what are you waiting for?

In summary whatever your religion or whatever your beliefs I think we can all agree you get 1 shot through this journey called life. It does not matter your current situation what does matter is that YOU have the power to change the situation you are in. Keep in mind the biggest competition you will ever have is the person looking back at you in the mirror when you are up getting ready for work every morning.
