Now Open! New Sylmar Crisis Residential Treatment Program at Olive View UCLA
Central Star Behavioral Health just opened its new Crisis Residential Treatment Program (CRTP) in Sylmar, California. The 24/7 program is an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization and is geared toward?adults dealing with mental health challenges or a recent crisis who need intensive treatment. Individuals will be given supportive services to remain stable and successfully transition back to community living.?The 16-bed center for adults ages 18+ offers support for basic living and compassionate treatment from counselors specialized in evidence-based therapies and case management, in addition to assistance locating permanent housing.
Community members from across Los Angeles County gathered to learn more about the CRTP at the new Behavioral Health Center on the Olive View UCLA Medical Center campus. The turnout for the opening drew many mental health professionals, county representatives, law enforcement, and stakeholders.?
