Now Hiring: Senior Accountant/Business Operations

Distribution company based in Fort Lauderdale, FL is looking to add a Senior Accountant/Business Operations professional to work directly with the Vice President of the company. This new position, created out of organic growth, will spend half the time performing high-level accounting functions and the other half assisting the VP with operational functions.

Accounting Responsibilities (50% of the time):

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow reports
  • Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliation, including variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including reporting packages
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze complex accounting records for financial and management use
  • Monitor and maintain inventory records and financial analysis
  • Review A/P and A/R transactions for accuracy
  • Supervise Bookkeepers and provide guidance when needed

Business Operations Responsibilities (50% of the time):

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational success
  • Generate reports and present findings to management
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Foster collaboration and communication among different departments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Experience in business operations, project management, or a similar skillset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Strong MS Excel skills
