Now Hiring: Heat Treat Supervisor

Job Summary

The Heat Treat Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and directing heat treating and loading of steel pipes to meet our customers' needs while maximizing productivity.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the department

· Utilize available manpower and resources to accomplish forecasted production schedules

· Utilize warehouse space in an efficient manner to help expedite handling and shipping of pipes

·?Coordinate needed repairs with Maintenance without compromising safety and production

·?Provide / attend regular safety and production meetings

·?Maintain and use controls which will ensure accomplishment of objectives as they relate to quality and workmanship

·?Report daily production to Plant Manager

·?Training department employees

· Report and approve employee hours

·?Scheduling of employees to achieve production schedule

Physical Requirements

·?Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and feel

·?Must be able to occasionally sit, climb, and balance

·?Able to withstand frequent walking

· Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs; and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. with assistance

·?Good vision abilities are required to include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

·?High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience

·?Good communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

·?Minimum of 3-5 years of managing experience

·?At least two (2) years in a production department

·?Experience with heat treat

·?General proficiency in MS Office products

·????????Excellent Math skills

·????????Willing and able to work in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise

·????????Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts, rotating and/or overtime and holidays as needed
