Now Is The Gift, That's Why It is Called PRESENT!!

Life is something that we ought to value each time we breathe and live on the planet of earth. As Roberts Frost quotes: “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” In every problem that we encounter in life, to get rid of confusion and trouble we should turn to our GPS: G-d Positioning System inside us. We have to plug in and turn on.
Everything in life happens for a reason. Nothing is by chance. There is no such thing as luck, chance, or coincidence.
We wake up in the morning we say ( Mode Ani Lefanecha); thank you G-d for restoring my soul. G-d had such faith in me for giving me another day. Not everybody woke up this morning, but I did. What am I going to do that day? Plug in to G-d and say thank you. The next thing we have to reprogram ourselves to G-d. Wherever we go G-d can take us there, whether in Judaism or personal potential. If we do not know where we are going, then G-d can’t take us there.
The Almighty always trying to help us make the right turns in life and we are not listening. On relationship with almighty in terms of conversation is not a one way conversation. The Almighty talks with us all the time. He talks to us through hashgacha pratit-- through divine supervision. Everything in life happens for a reason. Nothing is by chance. There is no such thing as luck, chance, or coincidence. Never say “I am lucky”, say “I am blessed”. The Almighty is talking to us but we are not listening. The more we are listening the more we talk. Most of the time we are not listening because our things are getting in the way. We are the ones getting in the way; we can’t hear G-d’s message. We have a lot of distractions in our heads and we are causing it. Some think that they’re obviously much too well adjusted. But they will need to swallow their disappointment, because I have found that people fall under two categories: either they are living in the future or living in the past. Where does worry, fear, anxiety live? Future or past? Future. Where does guilt, regret, blame live? Past, (if we are both then we should get help). We can’t show future, because it did not happen. We can’t show past because it already happened. The thought never had entered our minds.
Never say “I am lucky”, say “I am blessed”.
Now that there is no longer any doubt that we are spending a considerable amount of time, energy, head space, emotions, and resources worrying about the future and dwelling on the past which they don’t exist. Do you hear the insanity? They are illusions we create as if we turn it into reality. We should not take that as a hopeful sign. How many things have we ever worried about that never happened? Countless. Well, that was waste of time. What is going on? We are so busy in the future and past that we are missing out on our only reality that is NOW. We are never here. We are flipping out about the future and flipping out about the past and we are never in reality: we are never here. NOW is the only thing that exists.
We have a lot of distractions in our heads and we are causing it. Some think that they’re obviously much too well adjusted. But they will need to swallow their disappointment, because I have found that people fall under two categories: either they are living in the future or living in the past.
It is not our situation that creating our emotional reality; it’s our thoughts. And thoughts are just thoughts. We can have trauma in our family, G-d forbid, when we are in a state of worry, anxiety, fear, or blame, guilt, and regret. We have a little drama in front of us. If we are one of these states, are we going to make good choices? No, we are going to make terrible choices when we are one of these states. G-d’s message to us; “you are wrong.” When we have a heavy situation in front of us, by living in panic, stress and anxiety is not going to help the situation. We are not waiting for happy; we are waiting for 3 C’s: clear, calm, connected. When we are on the state of clear, calm, connected, now we can make a decision-- now have that significant conversations-- now click send on the email. For radio talk shows, there is a bottom that the speaker can press if he regrets what he uttered the words, so it will not be delivered viral. He has up to 8 seconds to press the bottom. I wish I could have that button in my life. I could press to go 8 hours back, 8 months back, or 8 years back. That will be perfect for me. But in reality it does not exist. Sometimes, we are not precisely sure where the thoughts are trying to take us; hence, let the thoughts go and wait for clarity, a settled mind. That is our goal; that is where we want to live in; that’s the place where we want to make good choices; that’s the state where G-d can get in and we can hear him. We will be clear which choice to make.
How do we let the thoughts go?
According to the studies, where do people get the eureka moment? “I got it, I got the answer?” In the shower. Why? Because we are not thinking. Because when you are over thinking you are not connected the time to think--when you calm clear and connected. The number 2 place is when ironing. Yoga swimming, meditation sleeping on it, let the thoughts go. Someone said to me that there are no problems. There are OPPORTUNITIES for growth-- and some of our opportunities are very big.
We are so busy in the future and past that we are missing out on our only reality that is NOW.
The almighty is trying to squeeze the potential out of us. How painful it is to the almighty to look down at us we are not realizing our potential. He gives us opportunities, and resources such as looks and wisdom. He loves us too much to let us waste our lives. In fact, it is better to listen when he whispers than wait till he SHOUTS. We have to look at how we can strengthen our relationship with G-d before we have problems occurring: before we regret this has happened. When something heavy happens to us, we realize right away that if we only listened back then this wouldn’t happen.
How do you know if something is a test?
When it is hard-- what’s hard for you it’s not hard for me, what’s hard for me may not be hard for you. Bur if it’s hard for you it’s a test-- because he loves us and wants us to be great. When we are in the higher stakes, be grateful. When we are in the lower state, be graceful. Time takes care of a lot of things never even happened. If it happens, the almighty has set this test to you and is already giving you all the resources to you to pass the test G-d sends or sets the solution before the problem occurs. No one said this is going to be easy. In our scheme of our eternity this world is a blink of an eye. And what happens in that blink will effect of all our eternity. This is a world to strive and to accomplish, and to work hard, and they don’t come growing pains for nothing. We have all the eternity to hang out. Never say that you are comfortable in Judaism, comfortable in life. Never say the word comfortable. Comfortable means you stop trying. This is not a world for comfort. You have all the eternity to hang out and feel comfortable in olam haba and bask in the choices and pain in this world. Don’t make choices and decisions based on what other people think. It is astonishing to me that most of us will make our choices base on what people think.
Though it is human nature we are very subjecting of our lives, we need somebody objective.
In pirkei avot says make yourself a rav-Mentor. We need to have a rav-Mentor to make good choices. Even king Solomon had a rav-Mentor. And he was the wisest man of all. A mentor can give his wisdom and guide us to the right way. Judaism is so practical. If it is not practical it is not torah it is really there to help us to get the most pleasure of our life until you know here you going G-d gets you there. It starts with you until you know who you are and where you are going how you can possibly achieve what you need to achieve the almighty gave us an incredible, unbelievable life with so much opportunity and a lot of challenges and those challenges are meant for you. In a box tied in a bow sent to you with love from the almighty and this is our opportunity to grow.
It starts with you until you know who you are and where you are going how you can possibly achieve what you need to achieve the almighty gave us an incredible, unbelievable life with so much opportunity and a lot of challenges and those challenges are meant for you.
Every person in our life, every challenge is there because G-d loves us. Stop living in illusion. Get out of future and past and be here, be present. We have to comprehend the significance of the moment of Shabbat. Shabbat tells you be here. We don’t add to the world we don’t take away from it. You are not even allowed to talk about things that will happen after Shabbat on Shabbat. It takes effort to be here especially those of us with our busy minds. I am a future person, I always think what is going to happen, plan things a head, I was never here. And then I learned this wisdom by working very hard and be present. When I learned that G-d runs the world, I was so relieved that I did not need to run it anymore the world kept turning without me after the first Shabbat that I kept after havdala.
Stop living in illusion. Get out of future and past and be here, be present.
This change could dictate that almighty is with us. He knows who we are; he knows we can flip out; he knows that we can avoid challenges, opportunity, and he knows we are busy pointing finger at someone instead of pointing at us: realize that everything is going on is to get our attention. There is no rocket science in this that he is trying to squeeze the potential out of us. Stop living in the past. Stop dwelling on the past. Stop worrying about the future. G-d tied it all up in one neat package, because the only thing that is real is now and it is a gift. That’s why they call it present.
