Novocomms Unveils New Division to Meet Growing Demand for Private 5G Solutions
Novocomms Limited
Novocomms was founded to deliver innovative new technology coming from British academia in the field of antenna design
We are excited to announce the launch of Novocomms Solutions, a new division dedicated to delivering cutting-edge Private 5G networks across the UK and Europe. Building on our expertise in microwave and mmWave spectrums, this initiative aims to unlock the vast potential of Private 5G technology in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, defense, utilities, and large venues like concert halls and airports.
A recent survey by Nokia revealed that 93% of early Private 5G adopters achieved a return on investment within 12 months, with 45% discovering additional applications post-deployment. This underscores the transformative impact of Private 5G networks.
Johann Tse, CEO of Novocomms Solutions, stated, "With the formation of Novocomms Solutions, we have created a unique Private 5G systems integrator. While we have a track record within the telecoms space and the global network of trusted suppliers, we also possess a deep technical knowledge of RF and microwave systems to create innovative technologies."
Despite significant advancements in Private 5G adoption, interoperability issues, interference, latency, and deployment costs persist. At Novocomms Solutions , we are committed to addressing these challenges through innovative design and developing next-generation, low-energy terminals alongside customized Private 5G networks including 5GC, gNB, MEC, and UE.
@Professor Colin Tucker, Chairman of Novocomms, added, "Dynamic, nimble technology businesses such as Novocomms are ideally placed to spot emerging trends such as the growth in private 5G networks – and rapidly develop better, faster and more robust solutions for both network providers and end-customers. My work with 3 and Orange shows that success is all about jumping onto the next big trend, and we think there’s a bright future for this type of network in the UK and Europe."
Earlier this year, we secured a £3.6 million grant from the government's Small Business Research Initiative to develop 5G mmWave consumer premises equipment (CPE), reinforcing our commitment to advancing 5G technologies.
