World Radiology Day: In conversation with Dr. Jacob Visser
In preparation of RSNA 2024, we interviewed Dr Jacob J. Visser , Radiologist at Erasmus University Medical Center and Medical Advisor at Quibim.
The discussion focused on the evolving role of AI in radiology and its impact on value-based care.
Dr Visser shared some interesting insights on how AI improves workflow efficiency and detection accuracy for incidental findings, like pulmonary embolisms, while emphasizing the importance of standardized data and continuous training for radiologists.
?? As AI integration continues to grow, Dr. Visser discussed the need for radiologists to stay ahead and fully utilize these tools to enhance patient care.

The Socio-economic Case for Prostate Cancer Screening
Quibim contributed to a recent report by Prostate Cancer Research and 德勤 UK, which highlights the clear benefits of targeted prostate cancer screening, including early detection, cost reduction, and improved patient outcomes.
With over 55,000 cases diagnosed annually in the UK, early intervention is crucial, as it can save lives, lower treatment costs, and address health inequities, especially in high-risk groups.
Emerging technologies, such as AI-powered MRI scans and biomarker tests, are offering new ways to enhance screening accuracy and reduce the burden on healthcare systems.
This targeted approach could transform prostate cancer care and reduce its societal impact.
Current Challenges in Prostate Cancer: an event by Quibim
About two weeks ago, on November 18th, we hosted in Madrid an insightful session on “Current Challenges in Prostate Cancer”, bringing together experts to discuss the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment.
?? We explored how AI-powered tools, like QP-Prostate?, are making a real difference in early detection and improving patient care.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for a productive session of learning, collaboration, and forward-thinking discussions! Stay tuned with us for announcements on next sessions, events and meetings ????????
