Having worked closely with the team from Swinburne for over a couple of years, it is great to see the natural synergy between the teams as we work to provide more women with opportunities in skilled trades.

EWIT CANADA - EWIT has expanded Internationally!
Our founder, Hacia Atherton, CPA, MAPP arrived in Canada last week to unite with EWIT Canada's new co-founder, Lexi Gilbert. EWIT Canada is at the forefront of redefining Canada's skilled trades industry, with the mission to achieve 30% female representation by 2030. The approach combines recruitment, leadership training and immersive experiences to draw and sustain women and gender-diverse individuals into construction, manufacturing, mining and new energy. Empowering organisations by joining forces with those who have laid a foundation in the skilled trades, we move forward together to advance our shared goals. #30by30

TRADIE LADY OF THE MONTH - JAMIE-LEE MONRO
Our Tradie Lady for November is Jamie-lee M. Monro, Co-owner/operator Handy People Co.
Jamie's roots trace back to a family legacy steeped in craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, inherited from Serbian ancestors who migrated to Australia in the 1960s. As a first-generation Australian on both sides of her family, she carries a deep appreciation for hard work and the artistry of building & business. Her company Handy People Co currently has over 90 projects on the go, which is testament to Jamie true passion and drive for the trades!
