Before year-end comes. Before you begin to evaluate your goals, revenue, or performance. Before you begin planning goals for next year.
Take time to reflect on 2019. Be thankful for the things that have gone well. Be thankful for the things in your life that truly matter. Show appreciation to those on your team who have done great work, brought in great clients, who have supported you in tremendous ways!
Pat yourself on the back, too!
Now that you've taken the time to fill your heart with your accomplishments this year, now you are in the right frame of mind to evaluate how well you performed. Now you have the right mindset to set BHAGs for 2020!
Don't know what a BHAG is? Jim Collins calls it a Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal. It's a goal that's so big, it nearly scares the pants off you!
Set aside a few minutes to be thankful this month. Next month you can focus on goal-planning! If you complete this before Thanksgiving Day dinner, you'll have much better things to share than others at the table!
