November - Strategy And Mission
Welcome to the November edition of the Vixul newsletter.
Vixul's Mission
Vixul's mission is to make available to the founders of tech services startups the same resources available to product companies. We are now completing our third boot camp and have many learnings from the three boot camps. We wanted to go into more detail with the Vixul mission.
Demystify Building A Services Startup
Our most recent blog?post?discusses the importance of converting a customer's mystery into a puzzle. Turning the mystery into a puzzle is what we seek to do with the founding of tech services. To accomplish our goal, we need to make building a startup predictable. In "Innovator's Solution," Clayton Christiansen describes making something predictable as developing the theory around it. To have a theory, you need to define the mechanism of the phenomenon studied under particular circumstances.?
Content
You see this approach of targeting specific problems in our content. A prime example of this is our series on taking?business functions from 0-5M?in your tech services startup. This series breaks down the business by sales and marketing, delivery, operations, and talent for various stages from 0-5M.?
Workshops
Vixul boot camp has become more focused on workshops for the same reason. As we iterate, the workshops are becoming more action-oriented. This solves the "don't know what you don't know problem" and gives them something to iterate on, which is much easier than starting from scratch.
What To Expect Over The Next Month
We are bringing our a23-2 cohort to a close. Expect some more announcements on our upcoming a24-1 cohort starting early next year. As we continue to discuss designing your solution portfolio, we will discuss the delivery of your services.
