Dealmaking is back in fashion in private equity over the last 8 weeks or so, with funds across the entire spectrum of PE deploying capital at a rate we have not seen since late 2020/early 2021.
We've seen these deals widely reported across the market and with some significant public-to-private deals, notably Bridgepoint/Trilantic and EQT's recent €1.5bn bid for OEM International, as well as in our own activity with around 75% of our recent interim projects being directly related to pre-deal or new deal activity. ?
This is a seismic shift from H2 2023 and H1 2024 where over two thirds of Bronzegate's activity was tied to replacing CFOs and finance leaders mid-investment lifecycle
