These technologies evolve beyond traditional language models, autonomously automating entire processes with precise accuracy and planning complex workflows without constant human intervention. To effectively navigate this transition, businesses are encouraged to incorporate these innovations into their operational strategies, by redefining existing business processes and investing in skill development suited to AI. Strong governance and proactive risk management are essential to ensure an ethical and secure integration of these technologies. Concurrently, establishing a culture of ongoing innovation is crucial to fully leverage the potential of AI agents, optimize organizational performance, and maintain a competitive edge in an era of rapid transformation.
Effective AI training involves five key actions: accurately assessing needs and measuring outcomes to target required skills and verify the effectiveness of programs; preparing individuals, teams, and the organization for the changes resulting from AI integration by ensuring everyone understands new work methodologies; encouraging employees to learn by combining intrinsic and extrinsic motivations to turn learning into a positive experience; leader involvement is crucial as they must promote and drive AI adoption initiatives; and using AI itself as a training tool to make learning directly applicable to work. This creates an environment where not only is AI applied but also constantly improved. Companies following these practices can achieve significant transformation, with measurable gains in innovation, customer satisfaction, and revenue increase, while maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
GARTNER : Gartner Says Generative AI will Require 80% of Engineering Workforce to Upskill Through 2027
By 2027, according to Gartner, 80% of engineers will need to enhance their skills due to the impact of generative AI (GenAI) on the software engineering sector. This will lead to the creation of new roles and the transformation of developer work patterns. In the short term, AI will modestly increase productivity by supporting existing developer tasks. In the medium term, AI agents will enable further automation, heralding an era of AI-native software engineering where AI generates the majority of code. In the long term, the rapid advancement of AI will require more skilled engineers and the emergence of a new specialty: the AI engineer, who will combine skills in software engineering, data science, and machine learning.To support this transition, organizations will need to invest in AI development platforms and train their teams accordingly to integrate and continuously develop AI solutions tailored to their needs.
