To encourage residents and visitors to shop on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25, Downtown Coral Gables parking garages will be open for free parking from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kick off your Small Business Saturday with the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Vince Lago and Books & Books owner Mitchell Kaplan, among others, at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Ave., at 10 a.m.

Support the brick-and-mortar locations that are integral to the City Beautiful!

A Celebration of Young Voices and Music in Schools

November 29th - December 3rd, 2023.

The Caroling Competition has been a holiday tradition in Coral Gables since 1987 when the 550 Biltmore Way Building first presented the city with a spectacular poinsettia tree. The free event features over 1,500 young people from 30 Miami-Dade schools competing for $20,000 in cash prizes. If you have never attended this Competition, you’re in for quite a treat. The children are superb. They are a credit to their schools and the teachers who direct them. The Caroling Competition is a celebration of these children. They are the future of our community.
