President's Message

Most of you probably know that the Fort Worth Chapter of PMI is a 100% volunteer-driven effort. I am very excited to welcome the volunteers who will be serving as officers on the 2025 Board of Directors! These chapter leaders have some great ideas and the motivation to put these ideas into play. We have several returning officers and a few new ones.

Board President - Kim Collins - Kim has served on the board for several years starting out as the Director of Membership, then Vice President of Operations and now taking the President's position. You'll do GREAT, Kim!

Vice President, Professional Development - Cheryl Medina - Cheryl has been a chapter leader now for over 8 years serving as a Book Club Manager. She joined the Board as the Director of Volunteer Engagement and is stepping up to lead the Chapter's Professional Development team!

News & Information

Brand & Land Recap: On Saturday, November 16th, John Signo from Signofied Services presented to the Fort Worth Chapter on how to build your personal brand, regardless of if you are in the job market or not! We had 17 Fort Worth PMI Members and a special guest, Lee Lambert from the Project Management Institute, attend this session to learn about ikigai and how to build the attitudes for effective personal marketing.

Two of our participants, Kim Collins and Ben Gonzales, were showcased for how to improve their resumes and marketability. We just received word that Kim is even in back-to-back interviews this week (coincidence or great application of information?).

We thrive on bringing these types of events to our Chapter. If you have a presentation you think would be valuable to our membership, please email [email protected].

October Dinner Meeting: Joined by Robert Snyder, Fort Worth PMI members connected virtually to experience a session on the importance of a People Centric Methodology. We are grateful to have such passion and wisdom shared with our chapter members!

October Lunch & Learn: We are flexible, we are adaptable, and we are very grateful that Dr. Latasha Ireland came through as our October L&L Speaker! LaTasha shared her insights for Sustainable Project Leadership, providing our members with practical and tangible tools to implement within their teams.
