NOvember

NOvember

This month I’ve joined a group of colleagues on a quest to say “NO” more often. I am creating a “NO list” for NOvember with the goal of discovering what happens when I prune things from my calendar, my routines, my thoughts, and my spaces.? What are all my YESes costing me?? I’m wondering how not saying “NO”, “Not now” or “No thank you” clutters my thinking, compromises my boundaries, and creates stress.??

NOvember will see me being more thoughtful and intentional around “NO”.? I want to create time, space, and energy to finish the year strong. I want my last weeks of 2022 to feel energizing versus an exhausting struggle to “cross the line” into 2023.??

Would you like to join me? What do you want or need to say NO to? Where could life and work benefit from your saying “NO”?? What NO longer serves you, your life, and your leadership?

In saying “NO” more often, I believe leaders get to recalibrate their compass and get clear on the action to take next.? Yes and No define what we want to keep, how we want to grow and evolve, and how we want to lead in the current context.

Life and leadership by design require us to pause, reflect, and purge to create space for fresh thinking and new opportunities to present themselves.

I hope you will consider what a NOvember might teach you. What will you do MORE of? LESS of? NONE of?

Wish me luck. I’m sure there will be many wobbles …and certainly a few wins!
