November got me thinking…. what a year we’ve had

The past few months have been a whirlwind. We’ve had every type of event and service in our schedule: conferences, staging, filming on location, award ceremonies, events in intimate venues and large scale full production events. Indoor and outdoor events featured throughout the year - and I even got to attend an event as a guest as opposed to delivering the event.

The last few months have been a delight in our world of events. Here is a look back at a few of the special events and productions we’ve delivered: ?

Conferences

The beauty of production and lighting at the Motor Trader Awards. This one had it all. The LZ team worked closely with our client in all aspects of event pre-production and liaising with the venue and suppliers. Our creative juices were flowing when designing both the creative vision and the technical specification. View the link and I’m sure you’ll agree the end result is a pleasure to see.

Awards

Awards are one of my favourites, you get to hear all the amazing stories, nominee achievements and passion behind the cause. The Inspire Justice Awards brought together the brand, cause and a superb host; journalist and presenter Clive Myrie.

Staging

The Energy Utility Skills Conference was a multi-format event combining a conference and awards and the stage set up was bang on. The lighting, visuals, projection screens for enhanced image quality made a bold statement and this memorable event was dynamic and eye catching.

Unique venues

Smaller venues with a unique vibe is something The Compound in Birmingham’s jewellery quarter delivers in buckets. LemonZest are working with this one of a kind venue to deliver our production services. A smaller intimate venue, The Compound is a creative multi-functional space where we’ve have the pleasure of delivering events in its versatile space. Our last event here was for an event design project working with women’s health experts on ‘Seize the Daye’.

Standout creative support

This conference had stand out LED jellyfish centre pieces and was immersed in blue using lighting which looks incredible on the view behind the lens when we were filming.

The Fashion and Beauty Weekender in Bristol was not just about us picking up a few beauty tips but enabled us to be style kings and queens when we worked at Cribbs Shopping Mall.

Festival antics

Recfest - a wonderful outdoor festival with a twist working with our friends over at Eploy. It’s a business event aimed at recruitment professionals that is a hive of business talks and activity by day. By late afternoon the DJ’s do their thing, and everyone lets down their hair down. No festival wellies were required this year as the event was blessed with sunshine! LemonZest delivered the stand design and build process to turn a simple pagoda into a full on surf shack.

Media Production

This one had the team excited - filming on location in Alaska! The ‘Frost Bitten’ documentary saw our team filmmaking and following the extraordinary journey of Nigel Vardy. Videography and filming are something the whole LZ team are passionate about. Content is so versatile when captured correctly and our team got to experience something quite special when filming this incredible story.

This is only a small sample of the events we have worked on. There are hundreds that we’ve been entrusted to deliver and are the safe pair of event hands our clients expect.
