November Edition

November signals another change of season. Autumn slowly makes way for winter, a time for the farmers to head back to their farms for the Rabi season. As farmers across the country get down to clean, clear and prepare their fields to sow seeds of the winter crops, Kshema was also a hive of activities. Here is the latest edition of our newsletter, giving a peek at everything that happened in the month of November.?

33 day-long IEC campaign in Tamil Nadu?

Kshema conducted?a 33-day long Information, Education & Communication (IEC) drive in Tamil Nadu to spread awareness about crop insurance?during the ongoing?Rabi season. The districts of Kallakurichi, Nagapattinam, Thoothukudi, Vellore, Salem, Perambalur, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Theni, Tiruchirappalli were part of the initiative.?

While the Kallakurichi District Collector Prasanth MS, IAS, who flagged off the van from his district stressed the importance of taking the message to the remotest of the villages, Theni District Collector, Mrs. Jajeevana, IAS also became a part of the initiative by flagging off a?van from her district.?

The villagers were happy with the dissemination of crucial information like enrolling in the PMFBY crop insurance scheme and sowing and cut-off dates. Kshema also organised farmer meetings, put up banners and posters, and distributed leaflets in 1127 villages between 8th November and 19th November as part of the awareness drive.?

Cybersecurity awareness campaign??

Kshema’s cybersecurity department?conducted multiple training sessions on phishing and vishing and common internet scams (social media and Google search) as part of cybersecurity awareness campaigns across the organisation. This is to ensure that we remain vigilant against malicious attempts to steal data that can inflict financial damage. Employees from various teams were trained in identifying phishing emails, QR code scams, etc. They were also instructed in ways to avoid falling prey to these unscrupulous elements.?

Every session was concluded with the participants taking the cybersecurity oath that has been drafted by our cybersecurity team.?Akhilesh Mishra, the Principal Cyber Security Architect of Kshema presided the Oath Ceremonies.

Launch of Kshema Field Assist 2.0?

We ?launched the Version 2.0 of Kshema Field Assist Application, which is now enhanced with new features to establish the connectivity among?our field teams,?state heads and office teams.?

This update introduces real-time location tracking, task assignment and management, attendance tracking, marketing activities, remuneration and reimbursement management, integration with the Survey App?and more. Available in 12 languages, both on Android and iOS platforms, the app streamlines operations for field agents and Head Office employees, driving efficiency, transparency, and resource optimization. This milestone reflects our commitment to empowering teams, improving market penetration, and ensuring compliance across our crop insurance ecosystem.?

Kshema at IIA Annual Event 2024?

Our employees, Prudhvi Raj Kumar Menda and Ashok Kumar Jangir?represented Kshema General Insurance at the IIA Annual Event 2024 in Mumbai. This premier InsurTech gathering brought together over 900 professionals, including industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders, to discuss on the theme of Building a Future-Ready Indian Insurance Industry Using Technology and Data. It was an action-packed day with a wide range of panel discussions, workshops, demos, and keynote addresses, including an inspiring session by Shri K. Rajaraman, Chairperson of IFSCA. It was a great platform to explore advancements and collaborations in shaping the future of insurance through technology.?
