November | BrachyDOSE Newsletter

November is dedicated to pancreatic, lung, stomach, and carcinoid cancer awareness. It is also a month to remember and honor our caregivers.

It is worth to mention that most cancers can be prevented. There are things that you can do daily to reduce cancer risk. These include maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, and avoiding tobacco. In addition, you can get vaccinated for hepatitis B and HPV.

Lithuanian Urological Society invites to take part in the initiative ūsai eina (Movember equivalent in Lithuania) dedicated to prostate cancer prevention and awareness in Lithuania. Our leading oncologist urologist in clinical research MD phD dr. Au?vydas Pata?ius is an active figure in this project and invites everyone to join.
